tout chez Cléms
Ah, ça m'énerve... Cléms' got a cold. Again? Eh, oui. She went back to school (for a week) after three weeks of absence and she again caught this nasty bug! Sounds ridiculous but I told Séb that I'm beginning to hate her school: such a breeding ground for germs! Most of all, I hate these parents who let their children go to school even if they're ill, only because they don't want to lose their commission or bonus. I've seen cases like this, parents considering teachers as babysitters, leaving their kids behind even though the poor ones are suffering fever.
Well I just hope it's not gonna be as bad as what she had weeks ago. Last night was again me, her and the basin, then Séb and the washing machine. Ah, I had enough of changing bedsheets and taking a shower at three o' clock in the morning! But what can we do? C'est comme ça. Now I wonder about the families with numerous children, how do they cope when two or more children are sick, with sisters and brothers sharing their microbes? Tsk.
One good thing though... It's been two days, Cléms finally weaned herself from her pacifier! Although from time to time she tells us that she misses it, she feels proud of herself and keeps on measuring the 'hole' between her upper and lower teeth with her little finger (the upper teeth started to protrude far in front of the lower ones). And the fact that she's afraid to wear one of those braces (don't really know how it's called, headgear?), the one the little girl in "Finding Nemo" had, she finally decided to detach from it. Nice, eh?. And that meant less work for me too - yeah, I was still sterilizing her pacifiers.
Séb and I have decided that we celebrate her birthday on the day itself: be inviting everyone, ordering le printaniers cake and it's going to be a birthday dinner and not the French typical way of celebrating it (4 o' clock snack) -- but that's on the condition that she's no longer sick of course. Oh, hopefully... she's really looking forward to it.
