bon, finalement...

The week passed so fast I didn't even realize that I haven't updated this thing. Yeah, so fast, surely because I was so busy the whole week and all I wanted to do après chaque dîner is to se laver et dormir. For days, I didn't have the itch to put this machine on. Just got no time. I felt as though I was a mère célibataire, alone, trying to make a living, running here and there. And that's because Séb, too, was so busy. The whole week, his behind stayed glued to his chair and his eyes to his computer screen. He would start working when we were still sleeping till the time we're already asleep. It kinda sounds exaggerating but that's a fact. It's only today that he finally finds time to breathe (me too). And he's right now with Miko and Geoffrey currently taking photos (I suppose) of tuned cars and motorcycles (and of pretty girls too (that's for sure -- them, being part of the decor...)) at Bourget. They left early this morning at around 8 o'clock while I and Cléms were taking advantage of the weekend -- yeah, lie-ins could only be done on weekends.

Voilà, here I am alone with Cléms - we just got up and be having breakfast...

alors...

Tuesday
Le jour de Saint Valentin. Nothing special, really. I in fact forgot about it till the moment the hubby handed me something, un cadeau. Sweet, huh? He bought me a 1GB digital audio player. Cool, no? Yeah, but I had nothing for him. Pas cool, eh? As I said, I forgot it was Valentine's Day.

Yesterday
I spent the day shopping. Nah, actually, I was just looking for a pantyhose for Cléms. She wants to wear a skirt on Saturday (for her birthday party) and I had to look for one that would match the color of her top (and her skirt). Well, I ended up buying another skirt (with matching top) and the right pantyhose for I didn't find the one that I was lookin' for...

Today
If I spent my day yesterday in the department store, I spent my whole day today at home, cleaning. Eh yes, intense cleaning, deep-cleaning of each room in the house. People are coming so gotta make the house presentable... no?

Oh, my aching back!

OMD, je vous remercie...

Am listening to OMD music while typing this... Last night, I was hit by a sudden feeling of nostalgia when I heard one of their songs (Walking on the Milky Way) in a television commercial. So, although it was almost 1 a.m., I put this computer on, opened up Limewire and started hitting that Chercher button. I spent almost two hours lying on my back, with this machine perched on my stomach, downloading... and at the same time, listening to them. Ah, so many of their songs are really nice, just couldn't resist double-clicking on every title. Phew, fortunately, downloading music is now legal in France. Well, 'twas according to Séb, I never did verify, hehe.

And now he's making fun of me for I'm listening to it with my earphones and am making head movements, tapping my foot and singing along. Yeah, Séb, laugh all you want! I don't care. If you only knew how I feel ... I feel good, reeeaally good.

OMD music reminds me a lot of things... "London Calling", a TV program that I never failed to watch (I would always ask my sister to record it, no idea if it still exists)..... the guy I dated named Perry, he invited me once to his house then his mom unexpectedly arrived home early he begged me to hide under his bed (cheap, eh? turned-off ako! and ooh, that was the last time I saw him or plutôt, the last time he saw me!!) hmmm, I wonder if he's already married..... the discotheque "Metro" where I won two tickets for a concert or show (couldn't remember for I didn't go, I was working)..... "wengweng", the cocktail drink I had at Tia Maria's (too strong, didn't know at the time that I'm allergic to alcohol I fainted, hehe)..... my boy friends (Robert, Donche and Jerome) attending parties wearing trench coats (haha! though tagaktak ang pawis, sige lang!), etc., etc.. Ah, a lot of things! Their music reminds me of those days, those younger days...

Hmmmm... one of the best bands of the 80's and one of my favorites. Now I think of my cassette tape and vinyl collections, I wonder where they are now...

des trucs coincidentellement japonais...

Bought this petite merveille for Cléms two days ago. Thing is, she's not the one who 'takes care' of it... it's Koko. Funny he even wakes up in the middle of the night to clean up its poop. And since it apparently needs a lot of 'care', this virtual pet stays with him en permanence. He just hesitates a little if he's gonna bring it with him (he's invited to a friend's house tomorrow...). C'mon Koko, so what if you're already 15 and its color is pink? Haha!

Cléms and I had a fun time yesterday searching for wallpapers to be installed on my computer. The image she wanted to see on my laptop monitor was fixed in her mind -- Hello Kitty. Voilà, one of the images she chose among pfffff don't know how many, didn't count them. Nice huh?

Jolie carte! Got this New Year card today from Japan, from a jolie friend named Ellen. Oh, she's soooo thoughtful! Merci beaucoup ma chère... ;)

tout chez Cléms

Ah, ça m'énerve... Cléms' got a cold. Again? Eh, oui. She went back to school (for a week) after three weeks of absence and she again caught this nasty bug! Sounds ridiculous but I told Séb that I'm beginning to hate her school: such a breeding ground for germs! Most of all, I hate these parents who let their children go to school even if they're ill, only because they don't want to lose their commission or bonus. I've seen cases like this, parents considering teachers as babysitters, leaving their kids behind even though the poor ones are suffering fever.

Well I just hope it's not gonna be as bad as what she had weeks ago. Last night was again me, her and the basin, then Séb and the washing machine. Ah, I had enough of changing bedsheets and taking a shower at three o' clock in the morning! But what can we do? C'est comme ça. Now I wonder about the families with numerous children, how do they cope when two or more children are sick, with sisters and brothers sharing their microbes? Tsk.

One good thing though... It's been two days, Cléms finally weaned herself from her pacifier! Although from time to time she tells us that she misses it, she feels proud of herself and keeps on measuring the 'hole' between her upper and lower teeth with her little finger (the upper teeth started to protrude far in front of the lower ones). And the fact that she's afraid to wear one of those braces (don't really know how it's called, headgear?), the one the little girl in "Finding Nemo" had, she finally decided to detach from it. Nice, eh?. And that meant less work for me too - yeah, I was still sterilizing her pacifiers.

Séb and I have decided that we celebrate her birthday on the day itself: be inviting everyone, ordering le printaniers cake and it's going to be a birthday dinner and not the French typical way of celebrating it (4 o' clock snack) -- but that's on the condition that she's no longer sick of course. Oh, hopefully... she's really looking forward to it.

aujourd'hui...

Winter vacation. First day. No, we don't have any plans of spending it elsewhere. We'll stay here. Au moins, we won't be spending that much en étant à la maison. And oh, Il fait super froid dehors, -3°C.

*****

Séb and I just discussed about Cléms birthday. Yeah, she'll be turning five years old on the eighteenth and we're planning to invite everyone, et oui, commander un gateau, preparer quelque choses à grignoter, etc..

*****

We'll be at Quend this summer, have already made a reservation this morning. Chouette!

*****

Came across this extra-ordinary parody (The Dormitory Boys), too funny! Had a good belly laugh! ^-^

à suivre...
